Step One: Get Smart!

Start the first part of the program through an online e-Learning course. The course can be completed at your own pace and in the convenience of your home or office. All e-Learning courses work on both mobile and tablet devices too! After a brief review session with a SCUBA Network Instructor here in New York City, it’s time for Step 2!
Step 2: Get Wet!

For entry-level certification courses (as well as some continuing-education classes), the next step will be to complete your in-water skill-development training. This takes place right here in New York City at our swimming pool! Once your pool training is complete and you’ve mastered the basic skills, it’s time for a tropical weekend getaway to Florida!
Step Three: Go Diving!

The final step is what we all love and what you’ve been waiting for! Fly down to Fort Lauderdale on a Friday evening.
Meet at the Fort Lauderdale shop on a Saturday morning for your first two training dives off the beach!
Training from the beach is a wonderful way to not only educate you on how to conduct shore diving techniques for future dives, but more importantly it provides an excellent opportunity to acclimate you to the saltwater environment and fine-tune your newly developed skills in a shallow open water setting.
Meet at the dive boat on a Sunday morning for your final two training dives off the boat!
Conducting your final training dives from the boat is a fantastic way to maximize the training of your course. We typically do 2 different dives at 2 different dive sites; this is referred to as a “2-tank dive.” Often, divers get to dive a big shipwreck first, followed by a drift dive over the beautiful barrier reef system! It truly is an excellent opportunity to learn up to 3 unique styles of diving in just your basic Open Water Course.
After your 24hr break from diving, fly back to New York on Monday.
