CANDIDATE PRE-REQUISITES
- Minimum age 18
- Certified diver for a minimum of 6 months
- Provide proof of 100 logged dives completed in a number of different
environments with varying depths - Be certified as a SDI Divemaster, SDI Assistant Instructor, or equivalent.
- Provide proof of current First Response Adult and Child Emergency

*First Response courses may be combined with the IDC program by qualified Course Directors or Instructor Trainers
SCHEDULE
20 Hours of Academic Presentation In-Store
40 Hours Confined Water
40 Hours Open Water
Candidates should be budget 7-8 hours per day for this course. Location will vary depending on what weather conditions allow.
eLearning Must Be Completed Ahead of the First Day of Class
Days 1-3: Presentations from your Course Director and Review of Final Exam
Days 4-10: Confined Water Training
Days 10-14: Open Water Training
QUALIFICATIONS AFTER GRADUATION
Upon successful graduation, candidates will be able to teach the following courses:
- Open Water Scuba Diver
- Inactive Diver/Refresher Course
- Advanced Adventure Diver
- Computer Diver Specialty
- Rescue Diver
- Divemaster
- Assistant Instructor
Additional Specialties can be added to the IDC at a cost of $250 per specialty.
