OPEN WATER SCUBA CERTIFICATION

We are so excited to welcome you to the wonderful world of Florida diving! Not only is Fort Lauderdale a shipwreck capital of the world, it is connected to one of the largest barrier reefs on the planet, making it an exceptional place to learn to SCUBA. And with decades of experience, we’re making it as easy as possible for you:

HOW TO BOOK

If you are ready to book your course, pay at the link below. Then, book your pool, ocean, and in shop sessions using the steps below!

Alternatively, if you are not quite ready to pay for your sessions, book a free orientation (see step 1 below) and we can answer any questions you may have.

STEP 1: Schedule an Orientation

The first step to getting certified is to schedule an in shop Orientation! Here, we get to chat with you about the joys of SCUBA, the process of class (and diving in Florida), and answer any questions you may have. Over our 40 years of experience as a shop, we have found these sessions help to make an easier, more fun, and safer experience!

If you are still unsure, you can wait to sign up for class till after the orientation (no obligations!). If you are ready to sign up for the pool and ocean dates, schedule an orientation and follow the link below to pay for the course.

(If you need a virtual option, contact us after booking and we will accommodate you)

Next: Book Pool

STEP 2: Choose Your Pool Date

Once you have signed up for the course, you can select a pool class at your convenience. Our pool session is a terrific way to get comfortable and excited for your amazing dives!

We do require that everyone has completed the eLearning before getting in the water, so make sure to give yourself enough time before your pool class to finish the online academics. You will receive your online code at your orientation session.

Note: due to high demand, we do require payment within 12 hours of booking the pool class. If you are not ready to pay, consider just booking your orientation session for now — to learn more about the course.

Next: Book an Academic Review (must be done before attending pool)

STEP 3: Schedule Your Academic Review

After you have scheduled your pool class, you can go ahead and schedule your academic review. During this session, we will go over your completed online academics, give you a chance to chat about it face to face with an instructor, and get you ready for your evening in the pool!

Please make sure to schedule this session before your chosen pool class, but the earlier the better. This must be completed before we can start your in water training.

Next: Schedule Open Water Dives

STEP 4: Schedule your Open Water Dives

To complete your certification, you need 4 Open Water dives. Luckily, we make this incredibly easy at our location! The first session takes place on the beach, and that covers the first 2 open water dives. The second session takes place on a boat, and this covers the final 2 open water dives. We offer the first session on Saturdays and the second session on Sundays.

Boat Tickets are not included in the cost of the course.

Select the “Boat Ticket” base option.
